O'lover made a new enchanting gate to the back garden. I bought a new dress sewn by the daughter of one of our farmers market vendors. Life is pretty sahweeeeeeet - on a personal level. On a government level things are so screwy, don't you think? Every time I turn on the radio or tv news I cringe. O'lover has actually banned me from watching because I get so twisted up about it. And I don't understand how my dear kind wonderful neighbors and I disagree so much politically. How do we interpret things so differently? It makes me feel lonely.
But don't you LOVE Ollie's gate?

i love his gate and feel your pain. i have been back for 4 days only and i already feel sooooo lonely. the excitement of being "home" was very quickly replaced by the realization that i most often believe the exact opposite of the people around me. and that applies to politics, culture, food, parenting, and so on. so sad. but your new gate is lovely.
Gate is lovely, you are lovely, Oliver is lovely, Mirjam is lovely . . . .
Lovely and lonely are dangerously close.
Love the gate; sympathize with the news problem. Kids make me turn off the radio when I start screaming at it. Now that Katie is leaving home, I'll have to be strong and learn to turn it off on my own.
I have decided to create my own world by not watching the news. Maybe someday I will be shocked by some big happening and die. I don't care, I have to die anyways. Meantime I love my world. And my world is pretty great! Come visit me.LLC, MM
