conSOULation

It is EMO friday. Truthfully, I think it's fine to be emotive any day of the week but when you've grown up half-Italian and your heart clutches about EVERYTHING including the plight of fictional characters (poor count of monte cristo in solitary confinement), every kidnapping or wrong doing you've ever heard about, etc. sometimes you need to limit your funk to one day a week.

There's a lot to be sad about in real life.

and when I feel this way, I don't leave the cottage. unless it's to go to our studio in the guthrie building AKA my conSOULation. It's two blocks from the Salt Lake library and I have stacks of books about Illuminated Manuscripts to pour over. And plenty of paint to pile on some canvas.

Besos!

gritty pretty... I met you at the Leonardo shin dig at South Towne mall over a year and a half ago. Since then, I got addicted to your blog and your charming take on life. Bessos and Rakas back at you from Helsinki, and thanks for being a stellar and lovely member of your community. I <3 your blog from one witchy and garden-y lady to another. Thanks for sharing. And thanks for the pretty pics of your garden.

Its funny. Me and Aaron ran down to SLC about a month ago and found this strange art/studio building, and found your blog URL on one of the doors. It seems like a good place to be for one who is feeling down.

Geo,
You are a talented consoler/hugger and so it only makes sense that you hug your plum tree. That was beautiful imagery.

Mister Brock,

I wish I'd been there when you came by! It's an awesome retreat.
